A Nice Gunto Mounted Katana
This is a very reasonably priced katana that is mounted in WWII gunto mounts. The sword has a suguha hamon with ashi and has a cutting edge that is 26 6/8 inches long. The handle, tsuba and seppa are very nice. The sword was signed but the signature was professionally removed during the 40s. The saya is plain wood and most likely was covered with a leather combat cover. The blade has some light scratches, rust and tarnishing from finger prints and miss handling. As you can see from the pictures it is not bad at all. This blade will clean up very nice and if I have time I will clean it up some. This sword is priced very reasonably and will sell fast!
