WWII Imperial Japanese Army Generals Sword
This sword is the most interesting Gunto mounted sword I have ever owned. There is a ruby mounted in the button on the handle and family mon on the saya hanger, and habaki. The mounts are very high grade with gold high lights on all the parts. The habaki also has a tiger engrave on the opposite side of the mon. The tassel is also in very nice condition. The sword is a Ko-Mihara katana with very active sugu hamon and classic Yamato hada. There is a fukure just above the hamon on one side of the blade which is about 1/16th of an inch in diameter. The sword is in a good state of polish so it can be displayed and enjoyed right away.
